nextScan Adds High Production Microfiche Scanner with Automatic Feeder to Product Line

Orlando, FL – ARMA 2009 – October 15, 2009 - nextScan, the provider of the next generation in film and fiche scanning technology, today announced the latest addition to its scanner product line,Titan. The Titan high production microfiche scanner with automatic feeder brings to market the fastest fiche scanner of any available today, with a feeder that can accommodate 500 – 1000 fiche, depending on thickness. Titan includes all technological development s that nextScan includes with its other scanner hardware and software, such as a custom transport carriage to eliminate any image distortion, revolutionary NextStar software with unique Ribbon Scanning for lossless image capture, high performance storage device for multiple workstations and concurrent QA to maximize scanner throughput, and nextScan’s patent pending LuminTec™ light line illumination system that increases image clarity and OCR accuracy, while using far less power than traditional lighting systems. The Titan high production microfiche scanner from nextScan will scan up to 260 ppm for jacketed fiche at 200 dpi, 24x reduction, and can also accommodate many other fiche formats such as COM, Jumbo fiche, AB Dick, Step and Repeat, Microx and aperture cards.
