nextScan Expands Staff to Support Corporate Growth and New Product Initiatives

Meridian, ID – February 6th, 2013

Boise, ID – February 6, 2013 nextScan, Inc., the recognized leader in film and fiche scanning technology worldwide, today announced the addition of three new key staff members to its corporate team in Meridian, Idaho. Steve Butterfield – V.P. of North American Sales, Doreen Compton – Director of Product Marketing, and James Yarno – Support Technician Specialist.

Steven Butterfield has served on the board of directors for nextScan, and as a consulting advisor for the past ten years. He now joins the management team as VP of North American Sales. Steven is an imaging industry veteran with extensive leadership experience. His long career includes Senior Executive positions with SunRise Imaging, Fujitsu America, ITT, QualityLogic and a number of software and hardware startup companies. Steve’s experience will be key in guiding nextScan’s sales efforts to existing and new markets where nextScan has created unique hardware and software solutions.

Doreen Compton has been hired as nextScan’s new Director of Product Marketing. Doreen has over 25 years’ experience in business development, marketing communications, government contracting, and supplier management in the global mobility and service industries. Doreen has a proven track record of creating strong product campaigns and leading companies to substantial revenue growth by focusing on customer centric solutions. Compton will be responsible for overseeing marketing communications, PR/Media platforms and sales support.

James Yarno has been hired as an addition to the nextScan technical support team. James has over 14 years of IT experience as a senior technical support analyst and advanced system engineer in large organizations supporting over 3000 users including Albertsons Inc. and St. Luke’s Hospital. He holds the designation of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). James’ knowledge of hardware and software configurations solid communication skills and ability to work as an integral part of an IT team will prove to be a valuable asset to the nextScan support group and nextScan customers.
